About Me
Hi! I'm Dotty McCormack, I'm a Bristol-based photographer and videographer passionate about capturing bold and dynamic visuals for creatives.
After graduating from the Northern Film School in Leeds, I made the move back to my roots in the South West, where I found love and support within the queer community — kickstarting my photography career through the vibrant world of drag.
My first love was filmmaking, which helps me find a story in everything I create. My graduate film 'Objects of Desire', which looked at female desire and sex work, won Best Student Film at Women X Film Festival and went on to be screened at BFI Southbank at the Woman With a Movie Camera Summit.
My favourite projects are colourful, collaborative, and unapologetically true to the subject. My work spans portraits, music videos and visualisers, events, theatre rehearsals and film set behind the scenes.

- Rosie Mullaney, Theatre Maker
“Working with Dotty was really fun and easy. I’m not a professional model, but I felt like I could rely on her to direct and get the best out of me, all while executing a strong creative vision. That said, she was also really receptive to ideas I had and found the best ways to make them work. The editing process, which she completed really swiftly, was the same, and she was really communicative during it to make sure I was happy with the editing decisions she was making. I’m so happy with the final photos – I never thought I’d like a photo of myself this much!"
