1 / I've never had professional photos taken before. Is that okay?
Absolutely! Many of my clients start out a bit camera shy. It's natural to be nervous. I'll guide you throughout the session - my approach focuses on helping you relax rather than forcing poses. If you'd like to feel more prepared before your session, check out my session guidance.
2 / Can you accommodate accessibility requirements?
Yes :) I ask about accessibility requirements in our consultation process. Please let me know what you need and we'll work together to make the experience as accessible as possible. We can discuss physical capacity, sensory needs, communication preferences and breaks before the shoot.
3 / who will be on the shoot with us?
Sometimes it is just myself, and sometimes I will have a photography assistant with me who is on hand for technical help. They will always follow my ethics of shooting: be friendly and inclusive, and adapt to the energy of your shoot.
4 / Can I bring someone with me?
Of course. If having a friend, family member or support person present helps you feel comfortable, they are welcome. Please let me know in advance.
5 / CAN I book if I am under 18?
Yes, but you must have your parent or guardian's permission, and bring a trusted adult with you to the shoot to supervise.
6 / What should I wear?
I can provide guidance before the session based on the style and look you want. For studio sessions, generally you will want to bring 1-3 clothing options per backdrop colour, avoiding logos and offering a variety of styles.
7 / How long does a session take?
This depends on the package, but we'll discuss timings in advance so there are no surprises.
8 / how long does editing take?
You will receive a contact sheet (photos to choose from) within the week after your shoot, unless informed otherwise in consultation.
After I receive your selections, edits take 2-3 weeks. If you have a deadline that needs them sooner, we can discuss this in advance.
I will ask your preferences for colour, crop and retouching after selection, and you have an opportunity to give one round of simple feedback requests once the first edits have been sent to you.
9 / What if I like more images than are included in my package?
I can absolutely edit more photos for you - additional edits are £25 each.
10 / where is the studio?
I usually shoot at Jimmy's Studio in Bishopston, Bristol. There may be times where this changes due to studio availability. Always check the information I send to you by email and double check if unsure.
For location shoots, we will discuss this together in advance.
11 / Do you offer payment plans?
